Shameless ripoff of Man Getting Hit by Football.

“The Anarchists are right in everything; in the negation of the existing order and in the assertion that, without Authority there could not be worse violence than that of Authority under existing conditions. They are mistaken only in thinking that anarchy can be instituted by a violent revolution… There can be only one permanent revolution — a moral one: the regeneration of the inner man. How is this revolution to take place? Nobody knows how it will take place in humanity, but every man feels it clearly in himself. And yet in our world everybody thinks of changing humanity, and nobody thinks of changing himself.”

Oh, that one’s a classic, but I’d have to argue that it’s the other way 'round. A Man Getting Hit In The Crotch 800 Times was about 4384156298772949076547 Billion times funnier than Airplane!, The Naked Gun trilogy, and all the Monty Python films COMBINED. Best movie of 2006, bar none. I laughed so hard I not only pissed myself, but also shat myself and even came a little. Not to mention passed out from exhaustion due to laughing SO BLOODY HARD! That’s how funny it is! A Man Getting Hit by a Football, while it is undeniably funny, pales in comparison to Wallace Termite’s (who is the greatest director who ever lived, much better (about 727849261000 BILLION TIMES FUNNIER) than Kubrick, Spielberg, Tarantino, Wright and ZAZ COMBINED) comedic genius. He’s the god of comedy. Much more than the king.

I can’t WAIT for the sequel A Man Getting Hit in the Head 800 Times. But I bet it won’t be as good as the original.

The film Lightyear is an interesting story with the message of letting your mistakes happen.

I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.

Logan’s Run

It was fun and overall a good movie, but not something I’d watch again. The story was interesting, but the second half (when they meet Peter Ustinov) it began to grow boring and kinda stopped momentum. The ending also felt incomplete.

Overall still something I’d recommend.

Also, those green-screen effects

They don’t make 'em like they used to…thank God!

The film Jurassic World Dominon is an excellent story about how one must respect nature or it won’t respect you.

Isn’t that the basic message of all the Jurassic movies?

Some movies should just be one-offs and not franchises.

That said, JPIII is the best Jurassic Park sequel.

As for the latest movie I’ve seen, Viva Knievel was a delightfully goofy experience. The Rifftrax improves it a lot, but without it it’s still a good “funny-bad” vanity project.

Master of Disguise. Truly awful movie. I don’t think a single part was funny.

The film Sea Beast is a fantastic story that describes how you must reject the lies you are told in order to find true peace and equality.

The film Thor Love and Thunder is a fantastic story with the message that revenge only brings more revenge; that pain only brings more pain.

The film Elvis is a gut wrenching tale of a boy who wanted love that was taken advantage of by a cruel system.

Just finished The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (say that three times fast), and as a meta-movie about Nicholas Cage, it works just enough that I can’t really hate it. I wish the film had been less formulaic and taken more risks, but it was entertaining enough that I can’t complain. Pedro Pascal’s performance didn’t hurt either.

I have altered Lucas’ visions. Pray I don’t alter them any further.

Emergency Declaration (2021)

Currently playing in theaters in North America. An Action, Thriller, Drama from South Korea. I happened to stumble across this film while randomly browsing my local theater listings. I’ve had a pretty solid run of South Korean cinema lately from Train to Busan to Parasite. I figured I’d give this a shot and I’m glad I did. It’s a real roller coaster ride throughout. I’d definitely recommend checking it out.

I watched Terminator 2. Its better than i remember it being. Also watched the original i didn’t like it as much this time. Its kind of not enough action by modern standards. Very Pedestrian and the robot Terminator at the end looks fake. Hated the redone audio on T1 and the teal in the remaster. Hated the redone mix on T2 as well, but liked the picture. The version i watched isn’t the one with the DVNR or the cgi done for the 3D version.

Arnold is scary in the original and moves like a robot. The makeup is well done. In the sequel he acts kind of goofy like he is having too much fun. Overall i liked both of the movies. But the action in the second one is way better than the original. Both have cool future war scenes. I always wanted a whole movie like that but not like Salvation. I hated that movie. Sarah’s evolution from T1 to T2 is well done. Especially if you watched the deleted scenes. Its the same character. Unlike some sequels that rewrite the character completely and pretend its a logical continuation.

Halloween III with my mom.
She did NOT like it.

I’m not really that much of a movie purist. I really should’ve thought my name out a bit more.

Since you mentioned your mom, I have a movie night story about mine.

One night my mom sat down with me to watch the David Lynch movie Blue Velvet, and much to my surprise she liked the movie.

Elvis 2022. Austin Butler is brilliant. The movie is rambling and incoherent and Tom Hanks honestly seems miscast. Poorly edited in places. It rushes through Elvis life way too fast. Its a good movie in places. Maybe. Not sure if i liked it all that much. 2 and a half stars, maybe 3. Way overhyped.

Top Gun Maverick. I liked it. Its not a great movie though its severely overhyped. Its a B effort. Very competent. But the least impressive of all the films of Kosinski. Yet its his one hit of his career. I thought Oblivion and Tron Legacy where much more visually impressive. Of course they were science fiction, Top Gun is boilerplate by the numbers action movie. It was fun in places. But it never really goes anywhere beyond a nostalgic trip for old school 80s action movies.

Aliens, one of the best movies to come out of the '80s.

Also, my mom liked Halloween 4 way more than III.

Also saw Elvis recently. I absolutely loved it. Unlike Moulin Rouge and The Great Gatsby, this movie fits Baz Luhrmann’s style really well. The cast, especially Austin Butler, was phenomenal, although Tom Hanks was admittedly miscast. Overall I would recommend it.

I enjoy Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of Romeo + Juliet immensely.
