It would probably be better to work with a lossless source, that way there will be less quality loss in the long run.

Is there any chance you could send me the straight AC3 track from the region-1? Theres something that I would like to check, but I don't currently have a copy of the disc on hand.

How do you recommend I go about ripping the AC3 from it then? I have DVDShrink, DVD Decrypter, SmartRipper, DVDAuthorGUI, VirtualDubMod, & Nero, but I don't really know of a way to go about ripping it using any of those programs...do you have one in mind?

Sure, I'll dig it out sometime in the next few days. I'll probably just make a direct stream copy of the pertinent section and send that to you. There shouldn't be any further quality loss, and hopefully we'll find someone with a full DVD anyway.

So what exactly is it you have? It's not the DVD, just like a avi, mpeg, etc kind of copy? If you do that, either send it by www.yousendit.com to hoichitheearless at gmail.com or just try and send it to me by gmail directly..
