I know that there is now a 4K version of the Director’s Edition but I still think this version needs to exist because it’s great for those that still want the Robert Wise handled version. Some people including myself found the new 4K version to be so heavily processed with the smudgy, grain removing filter on everything, and the heavily compressed, bassy, non-reverberated ADR.
So I think I would like to continue to improve it. And one of the things that always bothered me about the Director’s Edition DVD version is how old and dirty the film looked. This look carried over to the HD v3 release. And I was wondering if anyone, especially the creator, would like a version of this film with color correction?
