I’m not an expert or professional when it comes to producing deepfakes. However, I have been trying to deepfake Samuel L. Jackson onto the background fill-in in one of the last scenes of The Phantom Menace, where someone else was playing Mace Windu. Unfortunately, DeepFaceLab only recognized the background fill-in’s face for the second shot, not the first. I don’t know anything about making VFX, but I think it would be much better if someone just digitally mapped Jackson’s face onto the guy, as it would be far easier.
And yes, I am aware, there still needs to be more training than what is shown here, but I am just showing to let everyone know the final result may not look good.
