There is always more story to be told during the Clone Wars. Funnily enough, the period that Genndy Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars vol.1 covers - which is shortly after Episode II, and involves scenes such as Anakin encountering Asajj Ventress for the first time as well as his knighthood - isn’t covered in The Clone Wars canon series. When the series starts Asajj Ventress just shows up as if you already know who she is, and Anakin is already a Jedi knight.
That’s a time period they could possibly explore. The first time Obi-wan meets Asajj Ventress has now been covered in canon, in Brotherhood, a book I’m reading right now, but there are other story opportunities they could take.
