Quick technical question

I downloaded a video through 4K downloader, and there were subtitles attached. When I play it in VLC, I can turn them on and off, but not when I play them off my external HD on my HDTV of BD player. What am I doing wrong?

Is there any way to get the player to let you turn them on?

You could try pressing the subtitle button on your players remote.

First thing I tried. Nothing comes on.

Then I have no idea. Might have to make a second gen file with the subs harcoded.
