Not that I disagree with you, but the original Grimm stories were even worse depictions than "I think kids SHOULD be scared that the kid they identified with (Anakin) ended up burning up next to a lava river--that's what happens to bad kids who ignore their teachers and get impatient.", which, in itself, is quite an extreme example of a possible consequence of not paying attention to one's teacher (who did, BTW, admit he had failed Anakin, but I digress.

) If you ever get a chance to read them, it's almost appalling what these kids were being told back in the day. Not that the message was bad, but the delivery was very startling. There's a reason why they were called the "Brothers Grimm. I wonder which versions the new movie chose to tell.

And actually, I always wondered about Rock-a-bye baby even before I had kids (or even a girlfriend.) That being said, I saw "A Beautiful Mind" after my daughter was born, and I remember finding myself almost jumping out of my seat when they showed the baby almost submerged in the bathtub. I don't think my reaction would have been nearly as strong had I not been a father.
