Help: looking for... anyone have FIRE WALK WITH ME footage?

I know there was some serious cuts made & that thing was chopped way down, but haven’t heard of any bootlegs. I’d like to take a shot at a TWIN PEAKS project next.

I had already made my own Season 2 DVDs from the Spanish set that came out, but a ‘re-edit’ of the whole thing would be sweet…

A re-edit of the entire Twin Peaks story is a great idea. The only problem I see you runing into is Donna.
The thing I would love to see removed is the entire James & the Rich Woman story from the second season.
Oh! And cut down the Little Nicky stuff to just a little joke, not a major plot.

I have the Twin Peaks trading cards if you would want to use them as stills for a DVD extra. I also have the rare re-mix Extended Play CD.

I LOVE T.P.

Thanks. I've seen that.

I had an old article listing the differences between the laserdisc releases and the eventual DVD, as well as the list of missing yet filmed scenes.

~was hoping someone had access to those...

I might still do a re-edit of the show episode. Might need to think about that one...

All my ideas, exactly

I made my own DVD of Season 2, & include the 'Agent Cooper Audio Tapes' as my DVD extra. That was before I knew what I was doing, so it would be sweet to start all over and do something really detailed & HQ.

Any re-edit could not be chronological, as the revelation of Bob's identity is an important plot point that would be ruined by FWWM coming first. I have thought about doing this, using FWWM as flashback material. However, I would probably exclude the entire second season after Bob is revealed.

I'm not really a fan of chronological edits., just for that sake.

I'd probably want to use FWWM as flashbacks, like you suggested, but only during the 2nd season.

Just cutting out as much 'James&Donna' would be a thrill...

I have to finish up my JACOB'S LADDER edit (deleted scenes re-inserted) first, then I'll scout out TP...

Twin Peaks is fine the way it is, Little Nicky and James/that woman subplots and all. You don't mess with a masterpiece. Anyway ...

I would kill to see these scenes, have wanted to for some time. But what we really need is a reunion of the original cast that wraps up some of the "Evil Cooper" story. If more time passes and they all get too old perhaps it could be done as an audio CD, a la the recent Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio show reunion.

The last episode of season 2 was great. Everything else between the death of you-know-who and that sucked. If you want to eliminate characters, try Windom Earle, Annie, Little Nicky, "that woman."

Noooooooooooooooooooo, you must keep Windom Earle! You could lose the James/that woman subplot, though (sorry, Garrett!). I always fast-forward through those scenes... just hard to watch. Other than that, Twin Peaks never did wrong in my mind.

Also, I find it strange that FWWM was what got me into Twin Peaks.

Why did agent Cooper stay in Twin Peaks after the resolution of the Laura Palmer case?

There was an investigation into the death of a mountie, and the return of his former partner.

Seems like Earle would follow Cooper. Cooper didn't have to stick around, bringing more trouble to Twin Peaks.

Cooper was looking into "the purchase of real estate". They were pointing to the idea that he loved it so much there he might move. Plus he was romancing Annie.

Yeah, but it seemed like desperate excuses to extend a story that was basically over. The only sensible way to continue would have been to have Bob inhabit someone else, which didn't happen 'til the last episode. The rest was just non-Lynch padding.

Hey,

I thought this would be a good place to ask this. I was wondering if anybody had a dvd copy of the Twin Peaks pilot?
As many of you know, the official Region 1 dvd release did not include it because of licensing issues.
I've seen a few copies on ebay, but I thought I'd see if anybody had a copy to torrent or share or whatever.
I've never seen it, and would love to finaly get a chance to.
Anyway, thanks ahead of time.

William Peter Blatty's The Exorcist III was on the other night, and I was thinking how much the demon inside The Gemini Killer/James Venamun and BOB from Twin Peaks are alike. I forgot that Brad Dourif was in that, and he gave one heck of a great "over the top" performance.

I bought mine on Ebay cheap. It's actually the European theatrical release, so there's a tacked on ending to 'resolve' the initial story which is neat to see...

You can get DVD copies of the pilot elsewhere, yeah. Same way you have to get season 2.

I seem to have a copy of the pilot with the correct TV ending, not the tacked-on extra ending.

Season 2 is great and I won't hear a bad word about it.

One day hopefully, New Line and MK2 will get their act together and finally release the Deleted Scenes to FWWM. Apparently, MK2, the French rightholders are trying to work out a deal with Lynch to do the scenes. They have been at it for some time, but I have word that a decision will be made in the next few months.

Meanwhile, we have Season 2 remastered to look forward to in 2006, pending any more delays from Paramount. By the way, the Pilot that OCP has is the best transfer that is out there. There is one that you will see on Ebay from time to time, but it is the one from Catalyst Logic also referred to the Hong Kong version and the sound is totally out of phase. The image quality is crap compared to the one that Paramount released overseas with their Season 1 DVD set. Not as nice of a transfer as Epiosdes 1-7, but the sound and picture are a dream compared to the Hong Kong version.

Check out some screenshots on my site:

And a sample of the audio mixes as well.

The alternate ending for the Pilot was only released on VHS and Laserdisc. It would be a perfect candidate for seamless branching. I used to have the LD but sold it thinking it would eventuallly make it on DVD.

Hi,

The "Home Made" sets I've seen for sale at Ebay look worse then the offical SLP VHS tapes from a number of years ago. Don't spend money on these.

I have one of these sets, and if you PM me...

before you do an edit of this you might want to wait on twin peaks season 3 which is coming out next year.

dude, you just resurrected a 10 year old thread. I don't think this project is still alive. OP was last seen online on 27 Dec 2005.

Please, read carefully before bumping these threads.
