Am I the only one who doesn't have any desire to rewatch the movies outside of the OT and Rogue One?

The prequel and sequel trilogy, I accept some may have been good movies but I simply have no desire to sit down and rewatch. I could easily rewatch even ROTJ several times though.

Maybe it’s just my age.

What about re-watching Solo? I find Solo grows on me the more I watch it. Sure it has problems, but does vibe like an OT film similar to Rogue One also does, even if the quality of the OT is not there. I wouldn’t put Solo on to watch it myself, but when it has been on at friends’ houses or on at movie nights it has been a fun watch.

Those five films are probably the only Star Wars films I’d sit down and watch anymore. Fan Edits apart.

You know i’ve never seen Solo but lots of people tell me they were expecting it to be crap but it’s actually quite good.

I don’t have this problem, because I can perfectly rewatch all 6 original movies and even Rogue One. The only movies I’m not interested in rewatching again are the Sequels and Solo.

Watch the sequel to it instead! I hear the original cut of it is quite good, I bet you it is so good that it is one of those films where you don’t even need to know what happened before it!

The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear.

I think it’s definitely worth a watch. I remember when I first watched it in the cinema back in 2018 I thought was entertaining enough and not much more, but it’s grown on me a lot. On a rewatch I noticed many more things I liked, mostly the themes of the movie I hadn’t noticed and realising it was funnier than I’d originally given it credit for. Alden Ehrenreich is great as a young Han, he’s not just a Harrison Ford impersonator, he takes the character of a younger and more optimistic Han Solo and kind of makes it his own. I honestly Lucasfilm had just recast Luke Skywalker for The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, with Mark Hamill’s blessing. We could have got another great charming performance.

Same. I’m bored of new SW content in general.

“The Anarchists are right in everything; in the negation of the existing order and in the assertion that, without Authority there could not be worse violence than that of Authority under existing conditions. They are mistaken only in thinking that anarchy can be instituted by a violent revolution… There can be only one permanent revolution — a moral one: the regeneration of the inner man. How is this revolution to take place? Nobody knows how it will take place in humanity, but every man feels it clearly in himself. And yet in our world everybody thinks of changing humanity, and nobody thinks of changing himself.”

I enjoy Visions, and am looking forward to more in season 2.

As others on here have said, it is something that really should have been done years ago too, simple non-canon stories told very well and in different animated styles.

Edit: Oh no, I forgot this thread was about movies, and not Star Wars releases in general. Erm, then I enjoy the short mini-movies of Visions! lol!

You’re certainly not the only one.

Ol’ George has the GOUT, I see.

No, you’re not the only one. I have no desire to see any of the non-OT films again. Once was enough.

You’re not, not by far. I like Solo too (sans Darth Maul). I did like The Force Awakens a lot when it came out but it was subsequently broken by what came after.

I personally prefer the pre-1999 version of Jedi and the Clone Wars, but I like Revenge of the Sith enough if the prequels have to be included, and even Phantom Menace to some extent. I don’t like Attack of the Clones.
