The Walking Dead, it wasn’t terrible but I just kind of lost interest in it after the 2nd season.

Sex Education and Shameless (the US series).

Unfortunately, when I start a series I can’t just leave it and I have to continue it even though I hate the series. Although these two series make me feel completely sick since the beginning, I continued to watch them until the end. I regret it? YES. If I never did, then my life would be much better and I would continue to have some faith In the Human species.

Almost finished with The Expanse: S05.
I knew, I KNEW, I should have quit after S03.
Now it’s a soap opera, with crybabies.
Humans fighting. Is this how far we have advanced since leaving the caves, the jungle?
And handguns? Really? First seen in the Song Dynasty (@1000 AD), weaponry is still projectiles?
Star Trek had more imagination.
The Rings? I dunno, maybe we’ll get back to those.
Writers, please, think! Reach out!

Yeah, I’ll watch S06 eventually.

Besides looking sexier, what advantage do DEWs have over projectile weaponry? They consume more energy, and lasers/particle beams will diffuse in rain/dust/atmosphere. Not concerns your average space opera ever take into consideration, but The Expanse is harder sci-fi by design.

Surely someone will invent a game changer.
A matter diffuser, or an energy burst that loosens molecular bonds.
Guns are a convenient fallback, I suppose.
Protoculture would have made an interesting weapon.
Or was it the proto molecule?

Ron Moore’s Battlestar Galactica had bullets.

The only show i can think of not liking but i will still watch hoping it gets better is Star Trek Discovery, it never does though. Its the only Star Trek show that hasn’t hit its stride after 3rd or 4th season.

Its not the cast, or the comraderie or chemistry that is all good and fantastic. Its the piss poor writing like in all the Kurtzman Trek shows. I like the characters and actors though so i soldier on even though the writing is often unimaginative, derivative and ridiculous. Its the show that had the most promise since Deep Space Nine to not be another TNG clone, like Voyager or Enterprise.
