"fried" was probably not right. When my computuer was restored, the sound drivers stopped working. Everytime I've tried to re-install them from the disk, it gives me an error like "Drivers not found" or something.

I always used to watch it back when I was a kid, I haven't seen it in over five years though.

I allways hated that show. I've never really been a fan of Gross-out humor.

So you're not a fan of Ren and Stimpy?

Grossout humor isn't bad because it's gross, I just never found it funny.

I thought it was pretty funny when I was a kid, but when I went back and watched them again when I was older I tend to agree with you.

Yeah.. I hear people talking about how "great" early nickelodeon was because of shows like Ren and Stimpy, but... Nope.. It did absolutely nothing for me.

What did you think about Angry Beavers?

It was allright. Better than Ren and Stimpy..

But I thought that it was done by Clasky Zsupo. I could be wrong. The humor was a bit darker than most Nicktoons, but it wasn't really gross out... It was more injury humor like Tom and Jerry, but with screams of pain from every blow...

Ever since the dawn of Spongebob, Nick has been largely neglecting their old shows.

That wouldn't be so bad if all their new shows were good, but they're not. Teenage Robot is probably the worst thing I've ever seen from Gendy Tartavoski, All Growed Up is just as bad as the last few seasons of Rugrats, and Jimmy Neutron takes some of the most annoying characters ever and puts them in the most boring situations possible. Still, Butch Hartman's work is good, and I'm also interested in the new Anime-esque "Avatar" which could be a disaster if it is too imature. But it seems to be trying to appeal to an older audience, hopefully.

There is one new show with disaster written allover it: My Dad the rock star.. .starring--get this-- GENE SIMMONS of KISS.

BTW, What did y'all think of Invader Zim?

I don't really like any nicktoons after, say, 1999.

It seemed to me that every episode of IZ involved some idiotic plot by Zim, and Dib screaming at the top of his lungs... it got old really fast, but somehow it developed a 'cult' following.

Mangler Brothers Cartoon Series Episode One Summary

The pilot episode starts out with the Mangler Brothers, PSYCHO DAVE, a DarthVader-esque humanoid in with a black battle suit and cape, save for his head, which is like a Vader Mask with the face cut out and replaced by a human face shrouded in a red glow, and Mott-SoL, a bearded man in metal armor with a huge sword, and a slavick accent. The brothers are in pursuit of someone they've been hired to waste. They follow him to an apartment, where he's caught and revealed to be a lackey, being used as a decoy, of their target Jimbo Jones. The Manglers procede with a viloent interrogation, trying to ascertain the location of their target. During the interrogation a black ooze along with chunks of bone and two creepy dis-embodied eyes rushout from under a bed in the apartment. This biowaste morphs together to from a humanoid figure, which is then introduced as the BOOGEYMAN.

The Boogeyman grabs the decoy and splits into millions of tiny pieces and rushes back under the bed. Sensing that their only chance of finding their quarry is being dragged away, Motti and Dayv grab the tail end of the Boogeyman's retreating flesh trail and are pulled under the bed with it. They find themselves in a a huge junkyard, except along with junk there are skeletons lying everywhere. Then Dayv see's the Boogeyman with the decoy, and the Manglers go to confont him. Then, the Boogeyman snaps int's fingers and suddenly new monsters, parodies of horor movie villains arrive:

FREDRICK KROGER, a very ugly being with very long blade-like fingernails

AMARAS, a creepy dead girl with the power of killing at you by looking into your eyes. Her clothes and hair are wet.

JACEN, a big muscular dude with a hockey mask. He his loaded with a lot of high-tech weaponry

SHRIEK, a masked monster resembling a shocked Grim reaper. It wields two combat knives the size of Texas.*

Along with the new monsters, a group of Zombies also appears, coming up from the ground and wedging the Manglers between the exit and the monsters. Dayv breaks right, using his guns to fight Jacen and Shriek, while Motti breaks left, contending with AMARAS and KROGER. Dayv and Jacen circle each-other, pistols blazing. Both keep activating more and more of their arsenal, as Dayv's pistols transform into shot guns and Jacen's arms explode to reveal chainguns. After a while, Shriek is torn to shreds by a bunch of bullets from Jacen's arms as Dayb dodges them. Dayv then drops a flash grenade at Jacen's feet, and while he's blinded, Dayv leaps over him, puts his shot guns to the back of Jacen's head, and pulls the triggers.

Meanwhile, Motti and Kroger are fighting each other in a melee. Kroger's fingers are surprisingly sturdy against Motti's sword. Amaras on the other hand, his very hard for Motti to hit, because she can move fifteen feet in a single frame. Eventually Motti breaks his sword down into two smaller swords just as Amaras and Kroger double-team him. This catches Amaras off guard and she gets cut in half by Motti's blade. After a gore battle including a charge throght the army of zombies, Motti manages to maim both of Krogers hands, and then puts his swords back together for a final blow, splitting Kroger down the middle. And using his Fusion-Flame Gauntlet to burn the corpse.

Then the two turn their attention to the Boogeyman. He kills the decoy, to the annoyance of the Manglers, and then starts absorbing the Zombies, growing into a giant. They eyes grow too, and replant themselves in the Boogeyman's forehead. The Manglers contend with giant, but it is in vain, because every time they score a decent hit, it pulls itslef back together or absorbs more zombies to heal. Eventually, Motti and Dayv realize that it is the eyes that control the flesh, so they devise a plan. The run up the beast's arms and Dayv sticks is shotguns to the Boogeyman's left temple and Motti uses his gauntlet on his right. The head dutifully explodes, followed by a brief struggle between they eyes of the Boogeyman and and the Manglers.

Dayv's gun transforms into a five barrel laser-cannon that traps the eye from moving and sends a beam down its pupil. They eye explodes. Motti uses a jetpack that seems to come from the armor on his back to fly towards it. The eye uses the ocular nerve as a whip, blocking Motti's swords. Motti stuns the organ with a Fusion Flame, and then cuts it to pieces. It also explodes.

The brothers land, and the junkyard fades back to the bedroom. Then the Manglers leap out the window to try and find a new target.. or a new lead on where Jimbo is.

Heh heh. Cold, wicked, cruel jab. But funny all the same.
