The Office is one of the most overrated shows I’ve ever seen.

I only saw one episode of the British version, and not once did I even laugh, thinking to myself “What’s so funny about this?”

Never saw the American version.

Red Dragon is extremely underrated and deserves the same level of acclaim as Silence of the Lambs.

I don’t get what’s so great about The Shawshank Redemption. It very much feels like a made for TV movie.

I still really like The Shawshank Redemption but in my opinion The Green Mile has better performances, more emotion, better characters and a more interesting story.

The creative spark, and life of Star Wars is George Lucas. I think Disney Star Wars is Star Wars in name only. Its creatively bankrupt, has nothing to say and completely uncreative. A bunch of noise and explosions and special effects. It’s exactly what Star Wars would have been if it was a Hollywood product.

Largely a complaint aimed at the sequel trilogy and JJ Abrams.

They got away with it in force awakens by making a fun movie after the execrable prequels, we thought it was a return to the good old star wars movies. Then we saw how they treated the legacy characters. Luke Skywalker a worthless maguffin. JJ was the absolute worst choice. Ruined the lore, and any potential for any more movies with these characters in the Saga.

Completely agree

I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.

Say what you want about TLJ, but at least Rian Johnson tried to move the saga away from the same old tired tropes into a new direction, and everyone accused him of “ruining Star Wars”.

Honestly, I feel Airplane is not a true '80s movie. It’s more of a late '70s movie. It was made right at the beginning of the decade, so culturally, it’s still a '70s film. And if you go by the rule of ***1 is the beginning of a decade, it’s for sure a '70s movie.

In short, Airplane! is a '70s film in all but date.

When’s something gonna happen?

I couldn’t disagree more.

The Village is a very underrated movie and is my personal favorite Shyamalan film.

I’m not excited for Kenobi and I think it will most likely be as disrespectful to the characters as BOFB and the Disneyquels were to their original trilogy characters.

I’m almost afraid to rewatch the Sixth Sense. Because i used to really like Signs. Rewatched it and found it was awful. I kind of used to buy into M. Night being a genius filmmaker. But now i’m not so sure.

Every director can have bad films. I’m not knocking him for After Earth and The Last Airbender.

But is there one movie he has done that proves he is this great auteur?

Freddy Got Fingered is a brilliant satire of the Happy Madison/Farrelly Brothers style comedies of the late-90s/early-00s. If anything, it aged better than those movies because it fits so well into the style of comedy popularized by Tim and Eric/Eric Andre. It’s also understandable as Tom Green making fun of studios for giving him $14 million to make “his movie.”

While I freely admit that it is by all objective measures a terrible movie, I still consider it a guilty pleasure. 4.6 on IMDB, for good reason. I wouldn’t call it “brilliant satire”, but it is a total idiotic farce delivered with gusto, and Rip Torn is pretty hilarious. I enjoyed it more than prequels 2 and 3.

Gonna echo everyone else and say Unbreakable, although I think that movie is good, not great. I also think Split was a welcome surprise by Shyamalan. Also just good, not great. I strongly recommend watching Unbreakable first, though. I can’t say why, but trust me on it.

I have altered Lucas’ visions. Pray I don’t alter them any further.
