Hello all,

Excuse my ignorance but may I get some help walking me through what I need to look for when buying a Super 8 video camera and film stock? I’m very keen on exploring the world of analog filmmaking through purchasing a Super 8 at some point. However I’m not sure the best place to start.

I did see this attached thread on Reddit but I’m not sure how accurate the advice and tips are for what I’ll need.

Personally, I would recommend starting with using color film first because it’s what most of us are already used to and it’s easier to create the images you want on it.

I’m not really that much of a movie purist. I really should’ve thought my name out a bit more.

Thank you for commenting on my thread for this. That could be a good idea. I’ll have to look into film video cameras too. I appreciate your suggestion.
