While I agree with you that it is for “woke” reasons, I’m always willing to look past it if the character is done well. I do think your right in your assessment. She’ll be the big hero at the end of it, saving Kenobi or something against Vader. If she’s propped up at the expense of Kenobi, it will be another case of them destroying the legacy characters in favor of propping their own characters up. They did it with Boba and Fennec. Boba was weak and stupid, while the Fennec was the smart and decisive one. I don’t even hate Fennec, but it’s just so obvious in that show.
Totally agree. A “strong female character” is never just a “random strong female character” in Disney Star Wars, we all know this. Rey, Holdo and Fennec (in BOBF) had the power to make men around them seem stupid. This new inquisitor have more screen time than any other character in the trailer. It isn’t a “conspiracy theory”, the concern is real.
