So many people on here complaining about how hard dating is while I’m here crying over my first crush, who died in a car accident when I was 13.

I’m just gonna be blunt. Your problems with the dating world aren’t that bad. You may think they are, but they aren’t. The real problem that I see is that most of you wanna brag about having someone around, like you’ve won a prize or something. I’m sorry, but it doesn’t work that way. A romantic relationship isn’t about finding “the one.” It’s about what you and your significant other do when you’re shopping together. It’s about how you help your girlfriend out when her mom dies from cancer. It’s about how you handle children. It’s about how you resolve arguments when things aren’t great. Those aren’t exactly things that the Harlequin romance bin will teach you, but they’re things you have to be realistic about if you want a successful relationship.

I’m sorry if this post is harsh. It’s just that I see too many people who hold unrealistic expectations over dating and marriage. I guess I had to b*tch about it.
