Hey Wrbler, if Philly is looking for a replacement GM, you could pick up John Hart...I just saw in the paper today that he's left the Rangers.

He the "mastermind" behind the 1990s Cleveland Indians teams that made it to the World Series...which is better than Philly has done since...1993 when they lost to Toronto.

yankees lost yesterday. the latter half of the game the angels really brought it in. so the series is tied, 1-1.

White Sox came back with 5 runs in the 5th inning winning the game. doesn't look good for Boston...

Houston upped the Braves 10-5. the 8th inning really brought it home for the astros.

update of current standings on the main post...

I don't have a great deal of interest in these playoffs, however, I am happy that the Evil Empire has been ousted for another year.

I am. But this is a Chicago team in the playoffs, so I'm pulling for them. I'm not a fan, but Chicago needs a championship. In baseball, it's been far too long. Well, I'm only pulling for the ChiSox after they eliminated the BoSox who are my fave AL team.

I am a proud Houstonian and a die hard Houston Astros fan. The game on Sunday vs. the Braves was one for the ages, and will propel the 'Stros past the Cardinals into the World Series. Their momentum is in their favor immeasurably, as there's a big difference between sweeping the pathetic Padres and beating the Braves culminating in one of the greatest games in baseball history. Go Astros!

I think its been since 1917 that either Chicago team has won the World Series. Well, it would help if the ChiSox wouldn't throw anymore World Series

Losing the season series against us 0-6 didn't help your cause, and Billy "The Kid" Wagner really gave his old team a lift by blowing the save those last two games in Philly.
