New to OT forums officially. Recently rediscovered the site when doing a google search for another movie, non-starwars.
Once landed I realized I already had the site in my bookmarks from a year ago when following a different restoration project.

I would like to get into film restoration work myself, I’m not very art talented, I dont think, at least not as far as drawing. I remember in school the one thing I found I was good at was doing perspective drawing, city streets and the like.

I work as a computer infrastructure engineer by day, and some nights do live lighting and video work at a local nightclub. Some of the larger events require sequences and edits, syncing things to timecode and other fun, or not fun depending on your definition, stuff.

Im hoping to be able to apply some of the general workflow skills to be able to restore older films and meet others who share the interest of preserving film art.

Once I get the hang of things, I want to take a stab at one of the older hopalong cassidy titles as their a favorite of my fathers.

All that said,
film restoration knowledge is shallow right now, but if anyone needs IT help, I can help with that.
