I think this is happeing, to an extent. It seems to me that The Phantom Menace was really disliked at first, but now people have mellowed and are starting to like it more. Sure, JarJar is still just as hated, but once the unrealistically high expectations wore off, people don't dislike it as much anymore. Now Clones I think has gone down a bit in people's estimation. Have to see about III. But I doubt the prequels will ever reach the level of the classic trilogy. But since they are attached to the classic, they won't be be forgotten, like they more likely would have if they were some generic sci-fi film.


I watched Menace the other day...and I must say, there are the bare-bones of a good movie there, it's just polluted with so much muck that it's irredeemable.
