I don't know if wood would work for ESB, but I'd be curious if something similar could be come up with, who knows ....

The wood Star Wars looks GREAT. Great choice of fonts and crinkled paper and everything, really class.

We REALLY need a better scan of that alternate poster for Empire now - it's infected my disc art and now it's infected your cover too! A lovely design, but the image itself is so low quality it's just not worth printing.

I think there was a copy of this poster at USC actually - they had alternate posters for Empire and Jedi signed by George and the crew, including the pink Vader Empire one and the powder blue Death Star exploding Jedi one. Maybe they didn't have this particular Empire poster though. Is it out there? Who can scan it?

Some minor notes on the text on the back, if you can make some quick changes.

Empire: Should be a space between Clive and Revill. Guess the cat's out of the bag on what the easter egg is!

On the black ones, the font isn't quite working for me. It's very much the kind of font I would use, but usually on the back of DVDs (like the official ones) you'd see a kind of sans serif font, if you can make that look classy, I don't know ... Also the opening crawl text I'd like to see in a slightly different style to set it apart from the rest of the material. Or maybe the problem is that there is too much text and no images or visual style or metal rivets and whozits and doodads, or whatever.

On the back of the wood Classic Edition, the text repeats basically the same thing twice in a row .... so let me rewrite it. Here -

Journey back to 1977 with this faithful reproduction of the original version of Star Wars.

Lovingly restored to its original form, CGI "special edition" elements have been eliminated, and a new soundtrack created from the 35mm stereo mix and the rare 1977 mono mix.

Relive the magic with the film that started it all, the way you remember it. From the editor that brought you Deleted Magic.

How's that?

I like the idea of the stamp on the Classic Edition wood front, but it'll take some getting used to as it really stands out, where a more subtle rendition wouldn't.

Am I crazy, or in the wood version, didn't the "Star Wars Classic Edition" logo on the back originally have a more smudgy woodburning type effect on it? I liked that, if true.

It would be nice to post all of these without text as well, for those who like 'em that way.

Now, for the questions.

>> can't wait for classic edition return of the jedi.

There's a good chance of that, if Moth3r gets his version out anytime soon. =)

>> Any chance on a deleted magic strikes back, or return of deleted magic?

Probably not, but anything is possible. I said that Deleted Magic was the first in a series, but so little actual deleted footage has been leaked from Empire and Jedi that it was hard to make it worthwhile.

There is a good chance that at some point in the future I will record voices (once I can find good actors for, say, Leia and Obi-Wan and etc.) and recreate certain major deleted scenes myself, as small featurettes that people will be able to use on their future releases of the trilogy.

>>when you do return of the jedi is there any way you can put an alternate title crawl recreation for revenge of the jedi?

Uh ......

Never thought of that. Maybe someone could do one. With the release of Revenge of the Sith, I think that whole title strand has been played out though.

>> what the best software for the pc to watch both ntsc and pal or reauthor pal in ntsc?

You can watch PAL discs on your computer normally. Many, many DVD players also play PAL. I've used my AKAI and Philips machines for PAL playback.
