I don’t understand why the movie The Shawshank Redemption is so highly regarded. I found it to be a pretty pedestrian movie.

I feel like La La Land is kind of overrated.

Despite its flaws, Season of the Witch was the last Halloween movie I actually enjoyed. It is so underrated.

Same here. I still enjoy the movie whenever I catch it on TV and even feel the hate it gets is blown out of proportion. The movie’s soundtrack is an underrated gem of late 1990s music.

I suspect they made a mistake by titling the movie “Godzilla”. Had it been called something else it would have fared better.

Halloween Resurrection was actually enjoyable.

I’m not really that much of a movie purist. I really should’ve thought my name out a bit more.

I don’t think Men in Black International is all that bad. It just needed to be more refined at the script level and production not be rushed.

I honestly don’t understand why it flopped and people hating it so much.

Hannibal Rising is an enjoyable film to me. It’s not on the level of the other films, but it gets so much undeserved hate.

The movie Children of Men is praised as a masterpiece of the 21st century, but I’ve watched and rewatched the movie several times and it frankly does nothing for me. I am as apathetic towards the movie as Clive Owen’s character is to the world around him in the early parts of the movie.

Seriously, the reverence for this movie still eludes me after fifteen years.

Jealousy is one of the best Queen songs IMO. Nobody ever seems to acknowledge it, but it’s one of the most beautiful songs the band ever did and along with In Only Seven Days (another criminally underrated track) is my favorite song on Jazz. Freddie’s voice is at his peak there, and the melody and faux-sitar sounds are majestic. Lily of the Valley is also much the same, but it’s less obscure.

When’s something gonna happen?

I like the Tim Burton Batman movies more than The Dark Knight Trilogy.

On that note, I never liked Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne even as a little kid, but somehow he checks out in Batman Returns.

The Book of Boba Fett is a terrible attempt at fanfiction. It’s like some stupid Watpad shit.

I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.

By definition Disney Star Wars is fanfiction because it isn’t from George Lucas. So i’m not surprised.

I haven’t seen Book of Boba Fett it or Mando for that matter beyond the Luke Skywalker episode and the first season episode 1.

Filoniverse is fanfic its always been. Its never been on the level of Star Wars 1-6. Even though Disney elavated it to such a canon status.

By no means is that condemnation the EU was also fanfic and so is the new EU.

I think that only the works from Lucas should be seen as canon, even bad ones.

I like Filoni fanfiction to a certain degree. I enjoyed Clone Wars and Rebels.

I actually haven’t seen the movie yet but I’ve heard the opening credits theme, and I think it’s simply amazing. David Arnold did a fantastic job.

Just a heads-up. I wasn’t talking about David Arnold’s score, but the soundtrack which includes tracks from Foo Fighters, Silverchair and Ben Folds Five. Just making sure there’s no confusion.

Oh right, there’s my complete lack of knowledge about the movie coming in. But still. Great opening music.

I remember the soundtrack well. Godzilla pure mother Bleeping filler. Taking your eyes off the real killer.

I completely agree with you on all of this except The Clone Wars since Dave Filoni has said that George considered it part of his canon alongside Episodes I-VI. Sam Witwer has also confirmed multiple times these are George’s last Star Wars stories. So while I do think they have a lot of the Filoni touch to them and may not always be up to the quality of the films they’re still George’s stories.

I recommend these interviews. They’re very insightful.

Rebels is probably the only Disney era content I like without much stigma. It mostly all works for me and barely doesn’t. I hope to give Bad Batch a chance after I finish The Clone Wars.

I’m not brave enough for watching any further live action Disney Star Wars … currently.

“Heroes come in all sizes, and you don’t have to be a giant hero. You can be a very small hero. It’s just as important to understand that accepting self-responsibility for the things you do, having good manners, caring about other people - these are heroic acts. Everybody has the choice of being a hero or not being a hero every day of their lives.” - George Lucas

So, does that mean Deep Space Nine is fan fiction because Rodenberry isn’t involved?
