How did you handle the end of the Tusken stuff? It doesn’t really have a resolution in the show.

My rough cut has the entire flashback and most of the present day from Episode 1, 2 as a movie. Episodes 5, 6, 7 I am cutting into Mando episodes. I used pieces of Episode 3,4 in both the movie and Mando episodes.

For the film, I still used the Bacta tank as the ‘in and out’ of the flashback segment. When he wakes up from the ENTIRE flashback, Fennic tells him that tributes are lined up. Playing with the idea of including the empty rancor pit, assassination attempt, and mayor subplot. Including the FIRST twins scene to setup a potential Boba Fett Season 2. I’m kinda surprised that there was no reference to the twins after episode 4, almost as if they were forgotten. I am completely cutting the following: the Mods introduction and chase, BK trying to kill Boba, and the second twins scene. We tease the empty Rancor pit earlier, and the final scene of the movie is Boba and his baby Rancor in the pit with the final line, “Don’t worry, he’ll be back” before credits.

For the series, I split Episode 5 into two episodes and included some of the Boba stuff including the completely healed bacta scene. I split the episode right after Peli telling Mando it will go faster if he helps. Then added some Boba, Pike and Cobb stuff. I moved the building and testing of the Naboo fighter to the next episode, and right after Fennic recruits Mando, Boba recruits BK. We also get introduced to the Mods already working for Boba, when the Pikes Land, they are working as scouts and report to Boba.

The goal was to make the Mando episodes completely independent of the Boba backstory, thus making the the Movie a non-required back story. If you want to watch it for the background and setups fine, but not required to watch the Mando episodes.
