It feels like they should have just made a big Clone-Wars-esque anthology series about the New Republic, which gives them a bit more leeway to do stuff like that. I agree that the title implied that this was a story very focused on Boba Fett, and the marketing sold this as a dip into the crime genre for Star Wars. But not only that, that’s actually what we got for the first four episodes. It was established that Boba was getting character development - it wasn’t always consistent in my view, but I liked and admired it. The general feeling and direction of the show was also established. But as soon as we have some direction to the present day story, we lose it by going to focus on Din, Luke and Grogu instead (which is also totally different from the crime genre vibe we had) and suddenly Boba himself is playing second fiddle to a massive degree.
