I’ve seen a lot of talk online about Cad Bane’s pale skin colour being wrong when compared top TCW, but people seem to forget that he should be roughly in his 70s by the time of BOBF. Of course we have no idea how the Duros age, but I got the impression that it was meant to give him an aged appearance. Either way, he is blue, so I don’t really care. What does irk me a little bit though is how his voice has less of an electronic feel to it. They did the same to the Pykes and I don’t get why. Though this is also just a nitpick, and overall I just think its cool that they got the original voice actor back (though that hardly came as a surprise).

The skin color really isn’t so much an issue with me. His face is too bulky, should be a lot narrower than it was presented. Also the mouth placement and size of the eyes is wayyy off.

I am all for practical effects over using CGI, especially for the aliens. But I also think Disney has leaned way too into strictly practical. His mouth placement makes sense when lined up on a human actor. But it still looks off because of it. Disney needs to start implementing CGI as touch up’s for this sort of thing and stop being so intent on trying to right the wrongs of the prequel’s.
