This is a good idea. I like Charles Soule but I think he dropped the ball on fleshing out Ben’s fall. Just looking at the movie, the line definitely implies what Hal says. I think this definitely simplifies it, since the Knights of Ren apparently aren’t some of Luke’s other students.
