Would it be possible to use brief footage of the destruction of Mandalore flashback from EP5 in an updated Alderaan explosion?

I doubt it: the Mandalore flashback clearly shows the planet being exterminated by droids rather than just exploding. It could be useful for a “single Death Star” edit where the only Death Star is the incomplete one from ROTJ, in order to have something else destroy Alderaan, but for a normal edit it’s probably useless.
