Since everyone was so nice to me on my birthday I got off my ass and got Citizens PAL DL ready for posting, PAL SL and NTSC SL are also a go. I have to go out of town this weekend so I will start posting them oct 7th in the after noon sometime!

Happy late birthday!

I've had a slight problem with the EditDroid ESB that I'm hoping somebody can help me with. My pars check out fine, and I can extract the ISO. But when I compare the file structure against the SFV that Darth Mallwalker posted, the VIDEO_TS.IFO and VIDEO_TS.BUP don't check out. I've deleted and re-built the ISO, and I still get the same problem.

I've fixed it by loading up the torrent to get the IFO, and it works now, so I don't need a repost. I'm just curious if anyone knows what else to do in this case? I didn't download all of the pars because QuickPar claimed it had enough; would that have helped? Or is there a way to localize a file to a particular rar so that I can reload just it?

Makes you wonder, doesn't it, just what segaflip meant when he replied "Golden" to my question ?

The VIDEO_TS.IFO inside segaflip's .ISO is different than the one in Blaksvn's torrent.
So which one is correct ???
I guess only EditDroid himself could answer that question authoritatively....

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

OK, so I guess it isn't a problem on my end. I had interpreted "Golden" as meaning that his checksums matched, and that the discrepancy was therefore in the transmission. Obviously it wasn't.

I can double check the checksums again when I get home, maybe I missed it, maybe I did the ep4 one twice. Also My set did not come from Blaksvn torrent, thou I believe it came from rikter somehow. I will not be home until sunday night but I will check!

There needs to be more of a push for creators of disc to include a SFV in their releases. Because if I have the wrong checksums on the file burnt onto the disc it will not help any for me to make a SFV so that everyone can make sure that they have the wrong checksum themselves.

I must admit that I have been getting lazzy on the uploading and forgetting about the SFV files, sorry about that. I am trying to switch over to MD5 or what ever it is that DVD Decrypter makes (makes ISO and MD5 at the same time).

I myself have started to include SFV files in the DVD_ROM folder of my SF releases. I think this need to become a standard in new release and even old ones!

The originally posted ESB DVD played the film straight away without showing the menu.

Instructions were given to use a program (IFOEDIT I think) to change the DVD start sequence by playing around with one of the IFO files, hence creating different versions of the DVD.

It sounds like the SFV file has been done using one of the versions and you have the other version.

Check back in the EditDroid thread to 3rd and 4th March to see what I mean..........

I thought the same thing -- until I fired up IfoEdit and had a look.
segaflip's file has "(JumpTT) Jump to Title: 1" same as Blaksvn's. The difference lies elsewhere.

The VIDEO_TS.IFO is different for ROTJ, too.

Was one of these releases the one that had a menu bug? I seem to recall a patch that was just a fixed IFO. Or was that for a completely different version?

OK I upload SFV fils created straight from the DVDs and also rar files that contain the Correct IFO and BUP files.

BH005-BH008 Coming later this week.

And they match the ones you posted previously, but they still don't match the torrented ones.

Lest everyone think I have nothing positive to say, your Special Collection discs arrived here Saturday with Oct 6 postmark.
I'll be offering them back in the Special Collection thread in a few days, after I've copied them onto my own DVD+R blanks.

Did you receive your discs directly from EditDroid himself ?
No!
I'm guessing No since the art on your discs don't match the ones EditDroid himself posted back in February.
The art is modified by me or someone else this I know.
Also, the NFOs on your discs match the torrents, and I doubt EditDroid himself would use those NFOs.

This is because I took the NFOs out of the torrents so I would not have to recreate them.
Yet the VIDEO_TS.IFO on your discs don't match the torrents.

Because my discs do not come from the torrent, as stated before. Sorry but I dont remember where they came from. I can tell you that they match the source that I got them from so dont blame me for the un'C'orrect files. Discs play great anyways.

And I agree with you on that but I can only Preserve what I have and nothing else! I would love if someone here could supply me with 1st generation copies of the edit droid set! With that said I dont care to hear any more bitching I can not do anything about it since they match the source that I was given. If that is not good enough for everyone maybe I will stop posting the sets that I have been getting straight from the sources.
