I’ve mentioned this in the Mandalorian thread, but both my mother and uncle watched the show and neither had any idea that Ahsoka or Bo-Karan were established characters and had no issues following the plot. The great thing about Favreau’s writing is that he gave all of these characters a purpose within Din’s character arc making it feel organic to the casual fan while still being fanservice to us cartoon/EU fans.

Cameos where bound to happen after the success of Season 1 (especially with this franchise) and I don’t think it could have been handled much better.
