You are decreasing lift and increasing gamma? Sounds almost like digging a hole and filling it back in! You’ve also drastically increased the gain. Would that really be necessary for every scene? Some brighter scenes would likely become over exposed.

Keep in mind your HDR TV may display the image differently than your computer screen or other TV’s.
