Nintendo has announced the small USB device that will allow any computer with internet access to become a wi-fi device for the Nintendo DS - handy for those who dosen't have a real wi-fi device itself, and for those who own several computers. You could bring one of those to your friend's home and play there, for example. And it needs no configuration whatsoever.

Unless I'm mistaken, this is the first PC device made by Nintendo!

So for those who own a Nintendo DS, expect a challenge real soon!

Also, I've seen some pics from an upcoming basketball game for the Nintendo DS, "Mario Basketball 3 on 3"... You control the ball by tapping on the touch screen, to bounce the ball, throw it, pass it... Very fun. Should be as fun as Mario Tennis.

I also believe, Ric, that this wireless device is supposed to work with the revolution console as well.

I understand that the Revolution will connect to pc monitors as well as tv, which would allow it to compete with the HD consoles in terms of resolution. The pcs can support a much higher res than standard tvs, while still being short of HDTV.

I spent forty dollars and got bored within three days. Even if it gets better, I suck too much to get to the 'better' parts.

He didn't say Street Fighter the game was bad; he said the movie sucked, which I don't doubt at all.

It used the English name for M. Byson, for crying out loud!

I'm looking for a good "spooky" pc game. Can anyone recommend one? NOT Resident Evil, BTW.

Well, Resident Evil 2 and 3 are on the PC.

Also, there's the first survival horror game, Alone in the Dark, but it is rather old.

If you want to go for first person shooters, you can't go wrong with Half Life or Half Life 2. They are also a bit "spooky" in their own way, specially the second one.

For being a video game thread, I'm surprised there is no actual discussion of the Revolution controller...or does thave have it's own thread?

I've been busy, sorry I've been gone...

The retarded thing about the Street Fighter movie is that they could have based the entire thing on the instruction manual and it would have been better. Better still, they could have even played through the game a few times...now, the Street Fighter Manga Movie - THAT is a good movie.

Alien vs. Predator 2 scared the crap out of me before I completed it, and it still does sometimes. Some serious heart-rate going on. It's a very well-balanced game in terms of the differences between the three races. And the levels tie in with each other. Reminds me of Starcraft. The Marines would be the Terran, the Aliens would be Zerg, and the Predators would be Protoss.

And on the subject of which Street Fighter games I like - pretty much all of them (although the voice-overs in Super Street Fighter really annoyed me). But my FAVOURITES are Street Fighter Alpha/Zero 2 & 3, and Capcom vs. SNK 2.

Anyone ever play Far Cry for pc? Man, that game is good. The enemy AI is unbelievable, and the environment graphics are outstanding. It's coming out for XBox soon.

I tried, but on my PC, all the ground was blue.

And it's already out on XBox.

I've played Far Cry and I've only been able to get to the second or third level. Damn, that game is hard but well worth it.

Yup. Even at the lowest the ground was blue.

And water? It didn't even bother to render the water.

What type of vid card are you using and how much RAM in your machine? Do you meet the minimum specs?
