My sister’s husband, and her kids recovered from Covid. That is the only good news i’ve had all year, other than my brother and sister in law getting their vaccines. And my nephew turning 21 on April 1.
As my fathers elder sister passed away, its good to have something positive or praiseworthy to be thankful for. I have 3 nephews and 3 nieces and i’m grateful for their good health.
Also my mother has been in and out of the hospital and hasn’t gotten the virus.
All good to hear. And you’re right, good news has been particularly precious for the past year. It’s nice to hear stuff like this.
My family is also doing well, including my elderly grandma - none of us have got covid, touch wood, and my granny has had both doses of the vaccine now. It’s pretty much just a remaining period of seeing how long it’ll be until it’s safe enough for lockdown to ease off.

I just asked out a girl on a whim and she’s freaking out but in a good way. We’d been chatting for hours with her friend. I didn’t wanna do it until the end, so I did it as they were gonna leave. She says she’ll get back to me on the answer, and she visibly overwhelmed. It didn’t seem dismissive or anything, I genuinely think she wants time to think it over. She said she’d rarely been asked out before, so that’s why she was so shocked. Felt really good honestly.

Yeah, I’ve learned my lesson. I know “I’ll think it over” usually means no but the way she reacted seemed so positive. Alas, she gave me a clear “no” the next day.
I’ll take this conversation to the bitching thread to avoid bringing the mood down. On the bright side, I’ve made new friends this semester, including one pretty close one!

The blue elephant in the room.
I found out I was trans last week, and admitting that has helped me a lot these last few days. I’ve been surprisingly optimistic, and I’ve been willing to be more compassionate to both my co-workers and customers when I’m at work because of it. I’ve also been handling the move a little better than I expected. I’m still busy, and I’m still in the process of unpacking, but it’s crazy how well I’m holding up since finding out.
I have altered Lucas’ visions. Pray I don’t alter them any further.
I just had the best weekend! Four days of making Pokémon and Harry Potter board games in GIMP, watching Spider-Man, and playing Persona! That probably sounds lame to some people but I’m just really happy to be buzzing with activity again for once, even if it is by myself.
I’m done with my exams for this semester and I’m going to reward myself by cooking my favorite food.

I just plowed through both reading an academic article and writing the 1500 word essay about it entirely in a day! That’s amazing!
