I found an interesting resource for the “Darth Vader Widens the Search” scene. There was a project called “Star Wars Leftovers” created by Bobson Dugnutt that I believe contains this exact scene. It seems in the Holiday Special they cut a portion out of the middle of the scene, but Bath’s mouth movements seem to match exactly. The scene appears at the 28 minute, 22 second mark in “Leftovers”. It could use a slight cleaning, but looks far better than what we see in the existing SWHS versions.

Right, I thought it looked like a slightly different take though. I went back and watched it again this evening and it looks like they just cut a chunk out of the middle. Either way, his mouth doesn’t match the words he’s saying for over half the conversation
