My wife and I actually watch less TV now, but all of our shows are recorded and waiting for us whenever we have a chance to watch them. Very handy when you've got two working parents and two chidlren.

I have two dual-tuner 35hr DirecTivos - they were $70 bucks each at Best Buy. I can record 4 shows simultaneously.
