I thought it was a leeeettle cheesy, but I like it overall. Curry certainly kicked ass in that film.
(I still remember the scene in the library, when no one else sees the balloons. Despite this, some of the people blink when they pop.
)BTW, I recently saw Darkness. Odd story, but DAMN, was it spooky. I read a review saying it was a great exercise in building suspense, and I have to agree wholeheartedly. Few films have made my skin crawl like this one did. It's amazing how scary the film is without falling back on "stuff jumping up in your face", as most films tend to rely on now.
