On the phone with my pops today. He said he took me to ROTJ when I was young, I don't remember. The point is, however, that we were talking about the new DVDs. I asked him if he was going to get them, he said probably not. We started talking about the changes....It amazed me how much he knew. I felt so proud.

This whole thing reminds me how in Orwell's 1984, they keep removing words from the Dictionary, in effect erasing them from history. Words were combined or shortened and slowly the words in the language grew fewer and fewer.

People will not sit idlely by and watch memories, and history fade away at the hands of one small minded man.

If I were able to ask Lucas one question, it would be this: "what harm is done to you by releasing the very movies, in their original theatrical presentation, that made you the wealth you have today?"

Also, can we get a copy without James Earl Jones' vader voice over? I dont know what that actor's name was, but he got screwed big time.
