Yeah, that's how I play the first three Mega Man games: on my GC anniversary collection. Once you get used to it, though, it's not that bad, I don't think.

By the way, sean wookie, I love your sig pic. White Album. Hee.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Mega Man was part of that first round of Capcom games I mentioned earlier. They were all seriously hard games.

I never beat Mega Man. I remember getting to some giant one-eyed creature. Mega Man 2 was much easier, and I finished that.

Yeah, the Cyclops thing can be a pain in the ass, but once you learn his pattern, he's not as hard. Use the elecbeam. He comes back in 3 as well...

It's all in the timing. He gives certain indicators of what he'll do next. I haven't played it in at least 13-14 years, but watch his eyes. When they start to blink, get ready to dodge, then hit him with the big upper-cuts.

The one my brother and I couldn't beat was Ikari Warriors. Got all the way to the end on multiple occasions, but just couldn't get past it.

yeah, the NES days were the best. A friend of mine played alot of those games and beat them when we were younger, but i could never beat mario 1 for the life of me. Never got very far in the second one cause it takes sooo much time. beat the third and all later ones though.

Jay's is so right about how most games nowadays seem like a walk in the park compared to those NES games. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that we've all grown up and stuff. But man those old NES games were tough.

I think you're right. There was nothing else for me back then. NES was life, 24/7. Had a lot more invested in it so I think that it was more important. Can't tell you how many holes I punched in my walls because I got so torqued off.

I beat Mario 1 after the first two months. After that, I could do the whole smash without "warping", or skipping worlds. Of all the games I played, I think the original Zelda was hardest for me. Mostly because it was so in-depth. EVERYONE was playing that game when it came out, and I remember us all giving eachother tips and stuff to get a little further.

How about blindfolded? I could do that in one level of Super Mario World, an easy, scroll-elevator level which required almost no movements.

i was gonna mention who framed roger rabbit (think it was zion that mentioned it), i used a code to get to the last level but still dont think i beat it. that game was hard.

i got to like 8-2 i think in the real super mario 2 (lost levels on the mario all stars for snes) and couldnt get past that.

TMNT was hard, I dont remember if i beat it, some of what Jay said wasnt familiar, but I thought i did beat it with help of the maps, the bomb on the dam level was hard.

me and my brothers got nintendo power, so when things got hard we sometimes had level maps, those were pretty handy

Not literally blindfolded, I meant without looking at the TV. The first stage of Sonic is also possible to beat like that, too, quite easy. All you have to do is memorize the jumps and memorize the position of the map by the "collecting ring" sound.

That one I happen to agree with. Lost levels is too damn hard.

Why is that a good thing? I'm pretty sad that we didn't get the game originally, and it was solely for the reason that the powers that be thought that Americans sucked at games.

Well, I wouldn't say that. I'm not going to deny the importance of the game. It gave personalities to Luigi, Peach, and Toad, was a great inspiration for the kickass Super Mario Bros. Super Show, and it added a whole lot of concepts and villains to the Mario lexicon. I like it, but I still wouldn't say that it was better than the real SMB2. It was like what Mega Man II was for the Mega Man series. It took the concepts of the original game and pushed them and tweaked them just enough so that it was completely awesome!
