Sequels that should never be... — Page 6

um, The Pink Panther was movie starring Peter Sellers, and they did talk. Perhaps you are refering to the cartoons they made based on the opening credits?

The last Pink Panther wasn't really a good idea either, it was just a bunch of clips from earlier ones or just outtakes.

The only Pink Panther I remember was a cartoon about a pink bobcat being chased around by a hunter, and constantly foiling him. There was no sound, and for somereason I forced myself to watch it despite that I hated it, which I only realize in retrospect.

Well the words 1963 and Crime/Comedy explain why I've never seen it.

I strongly recomend it... as I recomend every Peter Sellers movie (specially Dr Strangelove and The Party).

"I'd like to rent a 'rum' "
"A what?"

"Kato...? Where are you my little yellow friend..."

"Does your dog bite?"
"No..."
"Hello, little doggy..." *dogs bites clouseu's hand* "you said your dog didn't bite"
"That's not my dog."

*clouseu destroys a piano *
"That was a valuable piano!" (or something like that)
"Not anymore."

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

Seriously, just tune your tv in to TCM sometimes.

You might just like it.

When it comes to TV, the only things I watch are the news, Gene Roddenberry shows, and Cartoons.

And Back to the Future whenever it's on.

wonderful channel. AMC used to be this way.

Yeah, I can't stand AMC now, they don't even show the classic monster movie marathon any more at Halloween.

I first saw the Wrath of Khan on it.

Truthfully, I cannot figure out why it's so loved. Not bad, but certainly not so much better than First Contact. I thought about on par with the spiritual remake, "Nemisis"...

no,no,no,no. Wrath of Khan is MUCH better than Nemisis or First Contact. It is simply the Best Star Trek movie made up to this point. (imho)

Maybe it's just because I'm not too fond of the ToS supporting cast.

The fifth and sixth ST movie are two that shouldn't have been made IMO

The Sixth is important because it reveals that Klingons have pink blood.

I actually liked star trek 5. I havent seen any of the newer films (First Contact, Nemesis, Insurrection, etc.), which is strange because I am a huge Patrick Stewart fan. Those movies aside, the Wrath of Khan is my personal favourite. You can't beat Ricardo Montalban's melodramatic performance. Probably the best Trek villan ever!
Don't forget: with Lacuna, you can forget.

That's part of what reduced Khan to just 'good' IMO.

I really hate melodrama.

Edit: Also, Inssurection is a great example of a sequel that shouldn't have been made.

I LIKE WRATH OF KHAN THE BEST THOUGH I'VE ONLY SEEN 1 AND 2

Well they say that the even's are pretty good, and the odds are decent at best, and that's seems pretty true.

1.Not seen it, heard it was alright
2.Wrath of Kahn was pretty good, though I'm not sure it's the classic everybody says
3.Heard it sucks
4.Not seen it
5.Heard it inhales greatly
6.Pretty good, though Klingon's bleeding Pink is still weird
7.Generations. Decent. The parts with Data were good, but the Kirk-Picard was sort of lame.
8.First Contact. Great. My favorite, especially since it has the hated Borg getting their Colective butt kicked
9.Insurection. Not seen it but I've heard it was bad
10.Nemisies. Good, vastly underrated. Basically Wrath of Khan with a more plausible story and characters that I'm more familiar with.

1. Too slow paced.
2. Great
3. Meh, its a decent watch
4. Save the whales? Spare me.
5. WTF is this all about?
6. Filmakers tried too hard to make it campy
7. Pretty decent.
8. Best of the TNG movies.
9. Mediocre at best.
10. Underrated, as Chaltab said.
