Comic book movies - who says yes and who says no? — Page 7

OK, just as difficult as doing a "Secret Wars" movie, but even better onscreen: "Marvels", the graphic novel released about...10 years ago. I still got those here, has anyone else read it?

I'd like to see a movie about Aquaman or the Mighty Thor. Green Lantern would also be cool.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

We need Thor. And just for nostalgia's sake, it should star Vincent D'onofrio.

Maybe Aquaman could be played by Dolph Lundgren.

Can you post a picture of him? If he looks like Thor, I'll be with you on this, Bossk. Speaking of Thor, has anyone here seen the movie "Adventures In Babysitting"? There was a guy on there that would have been perfect for the role of Thor. I'd have to watch it again, and sit through the credits to find out.

If he grew his hair out and bleached it blonde, it could work.

Okay... finally! Somebody got it. Without actually getting it, that is. For those of you scratching their heads... VINCENT D'ONOFRIO WAS THOR (AKA Dawson) IN ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING! That was him. Believe it or not. It was. Floored me, too. But it's him.

All-righty then, I never would have guessed that. I haven't even seen that movie all the way through.

I always wondered who Thor was until I looked it up a few months ago. What's puzzling is how he was able to change his appearance so drastically. In 1987, he was in Adventures in Babysitting, where his 'Thor' character was this blonde-haired stud. But in 1987, he was also Private Pile in Full Metal Jacket where he played an overweight dufus. I guess the two could have been filmed a year or two apart, but still an amazing chameleon-esque transformation.

I've just read about the new "Ghost Rider" featuring Nicholas Cage as the main character...

*sigh*

Don't you guys agree with me that we had enough of comic book adaptations?

Yeah, but it'll blow over after something extremely crappy is made and then it'll start up again in ten years.

I say it's a fad that will disperse as soon as X-III Spiderman 3 drop off the radar.

The studios won't stop until they have a flop featuring every single character from all the major comic books editors: Marvel, DC, dark horse, image, the late techno comics...
