What’s with the distortion and white specks though? It had other kinds of visual artefacts.
I found this clip on a 2GB media DVD? Any Idea what version of the film it is?

My guess is the 2006 DVD, based on the quality and the color of the footage.

After having another look, it looks like it maybe a VHS rip. I only suggest this as if you watch carefully every couple of seconds you see what looks like a barrel curvature roll down the screen, this would also explain some of the other artifacts on screen.
Looks like a VHS that is slowly getting wore out.
One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.

Found the rest of the film!
it looks like its a hybrid between the original and the SE, very weird.

It could be a bootleg with a scan of a less-than-stellar tape or print.
I’m not really that much of a movie purist. I really should’ve thought my name out a bit more.
