I just grazed around their video, a couple of the Y-Wing trench shots looked okayish however a lot of the rest that I saw just looked like a video game. Which the original movie did not (Revenge of the Sith OTOH).
The other problem is the massive bombardment of lasers flying at the ships, we don’t see anything like that before or after this scene in any of the movies, putting it in the movies would just be a massive speed bump.
Speaking of speed bumps, the one thing I would like to see someone fix is the cut that exists when ships are enterig the trench.
