The Disney Digital 3D logo has a mysterious history behind it. In a trailer for Disney’s “Meet the Robinsons”, a DD3D logo appears at the end. The logo has a subtitle of: “THE ULTIMATE 3-DIMENSIONAL EXPERIENCE” underneath the logo. This appears on some selected Disney DVDs, such as “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” and “Air Buddies”, as this is normally used in tandem with the regular trailer, seen on the “Cars” DVD. However, this logo appeared again in 2011, for it’s Blu-ray debut. But the “ULTIMATE” subtitle has been replaced however, with a “POWERED BY BLU-RAY DISC” subtitle with the Blu-Ray logo. This was the first time it made it’s debut in the home market (and outside of theatrical use) and they decided to replace the “ULTIMATE” subtitle? Damn it, Disney! The only thing I can do is to Re-Create the logo using sources and information. Does anyone have info and/or thoughts on what the logo originally looked like when you saw the logo theatrically?
