That gives me a lateral idea: I don’t know if there’s a restoration of the original Declan Mulholland Jabba scene available at good enough quality (I’ve only ever seen very patchy ones), but with some dialogue trims, it might be possible to make it seems like Declan Mulholland’s character is someone who works for Jabba.
I don’t think another of Jabba’s henchmen would work here as Han has just met Greedo and meeting another one wouldn’t add anything. But there is potential with the original scene I think.
Maybe Declan Mulholland’s character could be another crime boss to whom Han is in debt. Now Han wouldn’t just owe Jabba (which is bad enough really) but apparently the whole crime scene in Mos Eisley and to spice things up a little more Declan Mulholland’s character could also know that Han owes Jabba as well as him, which would add some nice similarities to the kanjiklub scene in TFA.
Anyway what I actually wanted to say was in regards to the Holo-Jabba idea. Maybe the Hologram could be projects by a big bulky Droid to cover most of the whole Jabba left.
Maybe a droid like this one:
Or a modified Droideka with no guns but an extra array hanging below the snout.
JEDIT: don’t know why the picture isn’t there sorry. I had a clunky R1 Astromech in mind like the one on the sandcrawler in ANH.
