Just giving a slight bump to confirm that Bad Batch film edits are indeed in the works (4K HDR and 1080p SDR), since the episodes lend to the format fairly well and have a few arcs I can use. I’m leaning heavily towards a film trilogy format as of now.

I’ll have clips, previews, and a teaser worked on in the coming weeks just in time for the finale.

To summarize it quickly, I’m planning a film trilogy format for the season.

Aftermath (Episodes 1-3)
Hunted and Cornered (Episodes 4-9)
War-Mantle (Title Subject to Change) (Episodes 10-16)

So far, the first 2 films flow extremely well and remain approximately 2 hours of run time. The final film will likely be a good chunk longer (due to credible rumors of the last episode being either double or triple length).

Despite parts of the season having “filler” episodes, I feel confident that the story arcs still naturally flow into each other and this will create the most reasonably satisfying viewing experience.
These will be relatively simple cuts since the show already is primed for cinematic viewing and there’s barely even an intro outside of the first episode. Early test viewings of the first 2 “films” so far have gotten good receptions.

To repeat an answer to a commonly asked question, I do not plan to incorporate the Order 66 material of Aftermath into the Episode III Revenge of the Sith Supercut edit at this time, since I feel the first 20 minutes of Aftermath work best narratively as their own arc purely from the Squad’s POV and do not add much to the film itself, unlike Siege of Mandalore episodes, the deleted scenes, or the battle of Coruscant footage.

I do, however, strongly feel that a viewing order of the S7 Bad Batch Arc (which is chronologically the latest arc in the show), the Episode III Supercut, and The Aftermath film cut create a very satisfying experience when all watched back to back. I know many of you want the ROTS cut to be further extended, but I please ask you to trust me on this. This was the same reason why I left the Jedi Fallen Order material out of the cut and within the game. I myself watched the S7 arc, ROTS cut, and Aftermath (Episode 1) the night Bad Batch premiered all in one sitting and immensely enjoyed it this way. It was 7 hours of pure Star Wars bliss.
I look forward to sharing this project with you all soon.
