@adywan, these are my favorite versions of the films, so I’m beyond excited for all this, but I have to tell you, even without the brilliant new SFXs, your color corrections are second to none. Just beautiful.

Hi Adywan, the ANH screenshots look great! Will the aspect ratio be adjusted for one of the sources to get them to match? The 2011 and 2020 are slightly different. The current “revisited” screenshots still use the different aspect ratios. Example:

I used the Unarchiver and it worked like a charm when I downloaded the Empire Strikes Back from her work print. quicktime doesn’t seem to play it, but other video apps I use seem to and I was able to get it to play on Plex.

You do have to wait for them all to be downloaded before you unpack them!

You do have all the files in the same folder? You shouldn’t be able to just extract the first file and be able to watch that part. All files need to be in the same folder, you start extracting the first RAR only, not each one individually, and it extracts every one to combine it into the full movie

Put the files on a drive, take them to a friend’s house & do it on their computer.

A quick suggestion for ROTJ:R, maybe throw in a reference to Thrawn in the background displays or see if you can add the Rebel’s Ghost ship in the Battle of Endor. It would be quite a treat for fans of Star Wars Rebels. ESB:R is a masterpiece. Wishing you all the best on ROTJ:R Ady!
Ady really isn’t into adding things from the EU, and I personally wouldn’t want him to step on the new canon by assuming either of those things survive to RotJ!
Sabine mentions at the end of Rebels that Hera fought in the Battle of Endor & Ghost is in Rise of Skywalker-just sayin’.

I was using Keka but once I had all the files in one folder Unarchive worked perfectly.

Adywan, I know you were planning on extending the spacebattle aboved Endor and creating a bunch of practical models to use for that, but I also know covid has thrown more than a few spanners in the works, so I was wondering if it has effected any of you plans. Correct me if I’m wrong but you never got a chance to do filming out at redwood park for the ground sequences so they will be delayed ofc, but I know keeping your pc running 24/7 to processes renders must be pricey so if you were looking for cheeper alternatives to crafting, filming and compositing pratical models you could take a look at these guys:

They seem to have mastered the look the endor fight and practical models perfectly but with 3D renders instead. I genuinly don’t know if thats helpful or not, if you know about them someone might have posted about one of them a while back but I couldn’t find it to check so I figured I’d post this just in case.
Obviouly it would be great to see practical effects in action if that still possible but again I jsut wanted to lyk there are other options if you need them.

I cant even imagine how cool ROTJ Revisited would be if Ady was able collaborate with Skyforge. This CGI battles are incredible.
I think the models are just going to be used to replace the 2 background mats in the rebel’s landing bay.
Not familiar with all the changes being made to ROTJ revisited and whats been talked about, thought this could make for an interesting discussion / edit possibility, its a composite of both Sebastion Shaw and Hayden Christensen to represent how Anakin would realistically looking during ROTJ.

Since deleted scenes won’t be reinserted for ROTJ:R, I’d like to attempt a restoration on them, such as upscaling, film scratch cleanup, etc., for when it’s completed.
I wouldn’t attempt going at the Tatooine Sandstorm sequence as that scene IMO is unnecessary, but I might go ahead at it for the sake of it.
