That the 2006 GOUT ‘bonus disc’ DVDs were meant to only be available for 4 months (September to December 2006) - and yet despite the obvious and well known quality issues with the content… it wasn’t until ‘April 2011, the 2006 GOUT DVDs ceased production, and were sold in stores up until September 2011, just before the Blu-rays were released.’
5 years being the “Limited Edition” - and also “for a limited time”!
I recently found an old copy of ROTJ someone sent me years ago… of what I think to be some sort of GOUT-based project - or maybe an OOT fan project. Unfortunately I can’t remember who sent it me, or what it is sourced from… it does have the same chapter stops as the 2006 GOUT DVD for ROTJ - yet doesn’t feel quite like it is the GOUT itself (a seemingly softer image - and better colouring, IMHO).
It was titled: ‘Return Of The Jedi original version, not GOUT’ | a 1.50gb; mkv file.
If anyone is interested in helping me solve this - send me a PM for a copy of the file… who will undoubtedly recognise and identify the source of this project straight away… please let me know. 👍
