Palpatine is not necessarily shitty at making clones. The power of the dark side has a shitty effect on Sith. So if the clones are made through technology, then they wouldn’t have already deteriorated. The clone vat shot is a 3 second shot and it looks fine the way it is. In fact if poppasketti made the tank glass even more opaque and dirty that would be fine.

Why do you think he conceived Rey’s father — a non-clone? Why do you think he didn’t make Snoke armies? And they did deteriorate — hence why Snoke looks so deformed.
