This new version will cut the small prolonged pause between Bilbo and the farmer in the Shire, that made some people expect more dialogue to come.
The second edit will cut the entirety of Azog, The Eagles and the “Tree Root Battle”.
The video material is slightly cropped to enhance the feeling of old footage - in other words the feeling of the films being filmed ON FILM, more in the style of LOTR.

This updated version is simply due to the abrupt action peace the Azog scene is and its feel of finality.
