It’s just as important to understand that accepting self-responsibility for the things you do, having good manners, caring about other people - these are heroic acts. Just added Andrei Tarkovsky’s Nostalghia and Fritz Lang’s Metropolis.

I had planned to wait for an upgraded version of Nostalghia but I decided to go for it as I can always upgrade later if Kino decides to do so as they did with The Sacrifice. I plan to do the same with my version of Mirror when it’s released in a couple of months by Criterion.

Metropolis should be an intriguing watch. It’s my first true silent film and I know it was a major influence on George when making Star Wars.

I bought Star Wars Special Widescreen edition with a technidisc gatefold jacket, i hope its that edition and not just the Mitsubishi discs swapped in.

Edit: it was the Mitsubishi pressing in a late issue dustjacket that the Technidisc would have been stored in and i doubt the discs were swapped, so i think that guy on youtube was wrong about how to identify a pressing. The only way you can tell is by the mint marks in the spindle. The dustjacket doesn’t mean anything.

The 1992 pressing is so common i paid twenty dollars too much for it.

I bought the gatefold CAV Blade Runner Japanese letterbox of the European cut. Its the criterion transfer only in CAV format. The rarest of the laserdiscs. With OBI and Gem mint for only 30 bucks i couldn’t pass it up.

I bought Help! with what is allegedly a Mono Mix but i’m not sure if the theatrical mono mix. US Laserdisc. Not Criterion.

I also added the import Blu Ray of Zack Snyder’s Justice League from the UK which is supposedly region free. Waiting til September in North America to see the film be on Blu Ray is ridiculous. Not subscribing to HBO max.

The Killers should be good. It also includes Andrei Tarkovsky’s student film adaptation as part of the bonus features.

Added Bilingual Star Trek First Contact with Silver OBI strip Japanese Laserdisc. I couldn’t believe it was sealed brand new and only 12 bucks.

Also added Star Trek VI the Undiscovered Country, brand new as well Letterbox Japanese Laserdisc with OBI and LDG sticker. This one was a bit pricy at 23 dollars.

There were two other ones at 15 dollars each Search for Spock and Final Frontier but i haven’t decided if i’m going to get those.

Edit: Added Search for Spock and Final Frontier i figured what the hell, when is the next chance i’ll see a bunch of these for so low. In such immaculate condition. The LDDB prices are way more.
