Why not bomb it instead, Buy a video camera to set up at the ranch after you plant the bomb. That way you can set back here at Warbler Inc. and Manglers base and watch the fireworks!

You know, I might actually buy this for the cases. If it's only $20-$25, I've spent alot more on alot worse.

I know, the 2004 DVD's were $70, and this release is $50, which is $20 less.

You cant do that. then the people at TF.n will help the (Lucasfilm)Empire hunt down and destroy the members of O.T.com,

The people at TF.N would have my head on a spike right now for even suggesting such a thing, if they knew about it! Shhhhh!!!!

Amazon.com has just put up two pages for the upcoming release. I ask all of you to go onto both pages and post horrible, horrible reviews with 1 star like I have, so that we can help Luca$ lose money. Here are the links. Just write your review on one page, post it, then copy and paste it to the other, so that both pages will get bad reviews! Hre are the links:

1st page on Amazon

2nd page on Amazon

Enough! You know that you're not funny right? You know that spelling Lucas' name with a $ makes you look like a giant twat, right?

You devote, like, 85% of your day to posting on Star Wars message boards and you have the gall and nerve to bash the man who created the very thing you are clearly obsessed with?

To even remotely suggest, even jokingly, that you would condone blowing up the Skywalker Ranch makes you an ingrate and a fool...as if we needed more proof.

And another thing - just because you have over 1,000 posts doesn't make you a Jedi Knight and doesn't get you the kind of respect you're so desperately craving.

Just giving yall the heads up. I'm not expecting that kind of respect. Posts or not, I would get the same criticism anyway.

I want the original versions.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

Back on topic here, is there any other pictures of this beyond the outer box? Like of the individual discs?

like the new cover art. But probalbly won't buy it unless it has the fixes. It will be in fullscreen and widescreen for those completetists who insist on owning everything, just like the last release was both fullscreen and widescreen. But one was a silver case, and the other gold. This time the cover art will be the same, also known as uniform on both sets. same with revenge of the sith. where is the original theatrical versions and cleaned up in all their shiny glory, with all the deleted scenes and lost cuts and audio mixes? i will only buy the 2007 30th anniversary edition if it has the deleted scenes for star wars, empire, and jedi and the original cuts and he can include any further changes he want's as long as these are there. if not then i and and my fellow star wars fans will not only not buy it but will boycott it , and create a public outcry. The rebellion has begun my friends, and we will strikes back against the evil empire to see the original trilogy preserved, they way it and the artists who worked on it deserve. this must be stopped before he ruins star wars for all time, and for all future generations, if it can even be saved? You know by hiring new directors and writers who actually care about the material and not just a cash cow.

yeah, rebellion sounds like a good idea. However we must be cautious not to become what we are against or forget our reasons for rebelling in the first place, just like Lucas did.

Cool avatar by the way.

Read an Amazon review in which a guy has claimed that the lightsabers have been fixed for this release, still not interested in it, is this an acknowledgment that they screwed up last time, and expect the fans now to shell again for a corrected version,

I have also have no real interest in a "saga" boxset unless George does some alterations on Episodes 1 & 2(no interest in having multiple copies) and the bonus disc is crammed full of unseen material epescailly original trilogy stuff)( the bonus disk usually ends up on e-bay eventually anyway.).

I know what you mean. Why doesn't he fix the trilogy that's REALLY broken and leave the good one alone?

Of course, well... He is, but in either case, leave the classic American Cinema alone.

I want digital Yoda in TPM, ESB, and ROTJ. AOTC needs soem of the padmes parents house scenes reinserted to let people know ahead of time wgo the hell the people at padmes funeral were, birth of rebellion and yoda on dagobah scenes back in ROTS.

Well, there are enough fan edits out there to scratch your PT itch, but I gotta tell ya - you probably will never get CG Yoda in the OT. I mean, the digital version was deliberately downgraded to resemble the puppet.

But I will never, ever mind changes to the OT as long as Lucas budges and gives us the 77-80-83 originals.

You know that he will eventually, right? It's only a matter of time.

hi everyone, im new to these boards

anyways, i think ill buy them, it will only be like 20 $- and especially if the saber effects are fixed- BTW im not one sided on this matter- i would love it if they released the O-OT on DVD, but i also love the special editions

so is it safe to assume that the actual cover art for the DVD's will be the oringial poster art????

Finally, someone who sees it the way I do! And yes, the cover art will likely be the original poster art, to try to lure in those wanting only the original-original trilogy.

Intresting...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IVE JUST SPENT $49.99 DOLLARS ON THE ORIGINAL TRILLOGY IN JUNE! IM TOO YOUNG TO BE SPENDING MORE REPORT CARD MONEY ON THE ORIGINAL TRILLOGY!
Well, seriously, If they were fixed, I will buy...hey, I got three pairs 5-8 year old cousins on different sides of the family that are into star wars, I was thinking of burning my O-OT DVD's for them, but since not all DVD-R's work on all DVD players, this could be a GREAT Christmas fix!
All im worryed about is price, 20-30 dollars seems reasonalble, but it could be 40.00, in that case, I'm not buying, unless its with birthday/christmas money, but being a purist, and agreeing with the other two posters above, I LOVE the original and special editions (with the exeptions of little things) I would buy this FOR MY SELF if It was a diffrent set then the SE... if it was the SAME EXACT SET (think about it. The discs in the OT all have the box art...this COULD HAVE BEEN PLANNED FROM THE BEGINING!@\) I am not buying it for my self. I would buy it for people who dont have it.
We just need somemore information on the stats off the DVD.
My Reccomondation:
Buy for self: If you got extra money, but this is still yet undertermined due to the lack of facts coming out about the product.
Gift: A must for any casual Star Wars Fan, notice I use the word Casual. I won't spend 49.99 American funds to give a DVD set to 5-8 year old that WILL get screwed up (you should see my little cousins TPM DVD lol) but I will spend 20.00-25.00-30.00 on a DVD set for a few kids, who really dont care for the SPECIAL EDITION or ORIGINAL ORIGINAL TRILLOGY.
For my self, Im probobly going to get it. Just to have. LOL
