I am pleased to announce that I have finally acquired the complete Japanese trilogy of Star Wars on Video 8. Hard to believe its taken this long, not to mention the cost that had come with it!

I am now half-way into completing the preservation process, all I need is a deck. Similarly, they too are expensive to acquire especially for a decent one. I am currently eyeing one out and it will cost a tone to import.

Did you manage to complete a preservation of these beautiful looking releases?

Also, did you manage to get hold of a deck? Or find a decent local transfer service for ‘Video8 to digital format’ etc?
