Yeah, I knew about that being in Chewie's profile, but I want profiles for the rest of his family as well. That's what I meant. Actually, there are several other EU places his family appears (The Han Solo Trilogy, Black Fleet Crisis Trilogy, Chewnacca comics, New Jedi Order). So, they wouldn't have to just discuss the HS in their profile.

That will never happen, that will be as good as it gets, as Lucas has disowned The Holiday Special, and in turn because of it will never appear on the official site(if it did or anything else more appears, I am sure George will be pissed off and people will get a tounge lashing)

Well, see, I love the holiday special and want it on DVD (and please don't reply saying "you're not serious" or some shit like that, Cassidy). And I think the characters deserve a place in the databank.

They haven't totally disowned the Holiday Special, they just sort of find ways to skirt about the issue. I think an EU book or two was going to have a different family situation for Chewbacca, with no wife and kid/different wife and kid or something like that, and Lucasfilm denyed permission, and made them go with his family as shown in the Holiday Special.

Yeah, I think it was Michael P. Kube-McDowell who was going to have Chewie be polygimous (or however you spell it) and the people at Lucasfilm said he already had a family, from the holiday special and the wookiee storybook.

Your not serious? The Holdiay Special?
Just kidding. No, actually besides the extreme cheesiness, stupid songs, etc. It is interesting because it shows the daily life of a family in the Star Wars universe. Not many other SF shows have really done that. Now putting it into the Databank would be a bit much to ask. Next thing you know, you'll want it on DVD and an O-OT release as well.

HA! Yeah, that's one thing that nothing else in Star Wars has ever even come close to. No EU production that I can remember has ever actually been set up so that it showed the day in the life of any of the characters, that is, on a normal day, when they're not out fighting the Yuuzan Vong or the Empire! I guess the holiday special proves that most people just aren't interested in the day-to-lives of their favorite characters. I did a review of the HS on amazon.com about this. Seeing the star wars characters on their regular days would be like seeing most of our lives from an outsider's view. The holiday special also does something else. It proves that the lives of the characters isn't always fighting and running and violence, that they actually have lives, however scary that concept may be to some. Most people who hate the HS seem to not be able to step back and have fun or laugh at any aspect of star wars, and take everything WAY too seriously. I, for one, like it.
